Tanzania’s parliament has approved Ruangwa (CCM) MP Kassim Majaliwa as Prime Minister after a 350-vote vote.
The appointment of Majaliwa as Prime Minister was made by President John Magufuli today Thursday, November 12, 2020 and his name will be presented to parliament by the President.
After the presentation, Speaker Job Ndugai informed MPs about the nomination, and then the people’s representatives voted to approve it.
Of the 350 votes cast, all MPs voted in favor of Majaliwa’s approval as chief executive officer.
“The total number of votes cast is 350, no ballot was cast, no ballot no 350 all confirmed Mr. Kassim Majaliwa, so Honorable Members of Parliament, Hon. Kassim Majaliwa has been confirmed by this parliament to be the full Prime Minister.” Speaker Ndugai
